Location: Bolton
Salary: £103.50 - £115 Per Day
Duration: Long-term (Immediate start, potential to go permanent for the right candidate)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with SEND? We are looking for a dedicated SEND Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Bolton. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work closely with pupils with learning difficulties and SEND, both in and out of the classroom.

The Role

As a SEND Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with a range of learning difficulties and SEND.
• Offer general classroom support, ensuring all students can access the curriculum effectively.
• Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that helps students thrive.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to tailor strategies for individual needs.
• Support students outside of lessons, including during break times or in small group interventions.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Has experience working with young people with SEND in a school or similar setting.
• Is patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is adaptable, proactive, and committed to making a difference.
• Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) – desirable but not essential.
